We really had a fabulous time on our vacation this past week, and are so appreciative of Mom & Dad Marsh for their generous gift of this wonderful trip! Here are some highlights of our trip. To start out please note that Rob and the kids are all wearing Cowboys apparrell since the Boys played while we were in the air.We arrived in Nauvoo late Sunday night after a long day of traveling to find an eager Grandma & Grandpa waiting outside to greet us and only had time to say quick hellos and get to bed.
Monday we went to Cart
hage to see the Jail where Joseph & Hyrum Smith were martyred. That night Rob lovingly accompanied me to a little musical that the senior missionaries put on, I'm sure he'll tell you this was his favorite part.
Tuesday was the only day it rained- and boy did it rain! - Rob and I spent most of the day at the temple, while the kids stayed with Grandma and got spoiled beyond belief.

Thursday we spent more time at the temple, sight-seeing around Nauvoo- Megan's favorites were the Bloacksmith Shop & the Brick Yard. Austin seemed to favor the Tribute to Women's garden because he was able to do the most running around. We watched some movies at the visitors center that showed what the Saints lived through. It is so incredible to think of the amount of faith these amazing people must have had.

Friday was our 7th anniversary so Grandma & Grandpa offered to watch the kids all day. Rob and I got up early and drove into Springfield, we went to the Abraham Lincoln Museum, Library, Home, and Tomb. It was fascinating, and we both thorougly enjoyed finding additional historical facts that we hadn't heard before. One that stands out was the display of his humor, apparently, President Lincoln might have been the one to come up with "Bass-Ackwards"! What a tribute to an amazing individual.
Saturday we caught a few more N
auvoo sights we had missed during the week and drove into Iowa to Betonsport to see some interesting artifacts and shops, we also went to "The Dutchman's Store" run by a community of Mennonites. I thought this sign was so funny!
We left for St. Louis a little early so that we could see the famous Arch before we caught our flight, despite what I had thought, it really is HUGE!
